Die Continental Style O ist eine atemberaubende Resonatorgitarre, die von der legendären National Style O aus den 1930er Jahren inspiriert ist, die für ihren kraftvollen Klang, ihren satten Mitteltonbereich und ihre markante, vernickelte Optik bekannt ist. Continental-Gitarren wurden als erschwingliche und dennoch hochwertige Alternative zu Vintage-Nationals konzipiert. Ihre Produktion entstand aus einer Zusammenarbeit zwischen der AMI GmbH (Deutschland) und dem inzwischen aufgelösten Unternehmen Amistar in der Tschechischen Republik, die beide für ihre handwerkliche Kunstfertigkeit bei Resonatorgitarren mit Metallkorpus bekannt waren.
Ursprünglich wurden die Continental-Resonatorgitarren von Amistar gebaut und über AMI in Deutschland vertrieben. Als Amistar die Produktion einstellte, übernahm AMI die direktere Kontrolle über die Marke, wobei die Montage vollständig nach Deutschland verlagert wurde. Die Continental Style O verkörpert dieses Erbe: mit einem Gewicht von nur 3800 g ist sie leicht, wunderschön verarbeitet und überzeugt durch einen fantastischen Klang und hervorragende Spielbarkeit.

Resonator guitar by Continental, handcrafted in Germany. It plays and sounds absolutely fantastic! It currently comes with polished strings and is set up and ready to play for standard guitar playing. The serial is 01021135.
The Continental Style O is a stunning resonator guitar inspired by the legendary National Style O from the 1930s, known for its powerful sound, rich midrange, and distinctive nickel-plated finish. Continental guitars were designed as an affordable yet high-quality alternative to vintage Nationals. Their production arose from a collaboration between AMI GmbH (Germany) and the now-defunct company Amistar in the Czech Republic, both of which were known for their craftsmanship in metal-bodied resonator guitars.
Originally, Continental resonator guitars were built by Amistar and distributed in Germany through AMI. When Amistar ceased production, AMI took more direct control of the brand, with assembly being moved entirely to Germany. The Continental Style O embodies this legacy: weighing just 3800 g, it is lightweight, beautifully crafted, and impresses with fantastic sound and outstanding playability.
