1928 GIBSON TB-3 CONVERSION BANJO

Tenor Banjo converted to 5-String Banjo by Norbert Pietsch

We are happy to present this extraordinary Gibson conversion banjo by bluegrass hall of fame master luthier Norbert Pietsch, Bremen Germany.

The serial 9150-10 is stamped on the 1928 original prewar pot, also signed on the resonator.

The original archtop has been converted to a Jerry Sloan 20-hole flathead tonering. The conversion neck is made of curly maple with a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard (approved with CITES papers) with Gibson flying eagle inlays. Contains a two-way trussrod.

Perfect playability and superb crisp tone! Ideal for Bluegrass music!
